DIY Acrylic Pink And White Manicure
Lets face it girls, only we know the importance of looking good. We spend hours picking our outfit, shoes, accessories and applying makeup everyday but there is one thing that can really up our style game and that is our nails. Ask yourself, when you grab something, use your phone, or do anything that involves the use of your hands then what is the first thing people will look at? That’s right your nails, and so your nails have to be on point. Seeing as you’re in Las Vegas, you will have no trouble finding Perfect Nails Salon, simply Google the keyword ‘acrylic manicure las vegas’. If you need to take matters into your own hands and DIY, here is how you would attempt an acrylic manicure.
Wash your hands, brush your nails with a clean, dry nylon nail brush. Then dry them thoroughly and afterwards file and shape the nails with a 180 grit file, leaving the free edge flat or square.
Brush the residue from the filing away. Take care not to touch your nails with your fingers.
Now the most common acrylic style is the pink and white acrylics, there are two application techniques there, but for your convenience we will use the traditional style. Apply the white product first, the liquid monomer will become slightly milky as you work but that’s fine.
Dip your sculpting brush into the liquid and quickly wipe it off, twirling the bristles’ tip on your table towel for a perfect point. Holding the brush straight (with the upper end pointing to the ceiling), wipe and refine your smile line shape until the product no longer moves and is almost set up.
By this stage you have completed your white tip application, now apply the pink product. The white portion will have dried off by now, so you wont have to worry about ruining it. You will need to apply two layers, in even applications.
And now we finalize everything, begin by removing the forms from the nails. Then with a handfile, shape the tips, sides and undersides of all 10 nails.
Follow up the procedure with a medium grit e-file bit. Shape the surface and bevel the product near the cuticle to be flush with the natural nail.
Remove any dust from the nails. With a smooth buffer, repeat the filing steps: Shape the tips, sides and undersides of all 10 nails, then smooth the top surface. Remove the dust again and finish with a gel sealant for shin.
If you have attempted the steps correctly then you would have great acrylic nails by now. Simple to do, once you know what you have to do. But if you’re a bit skeptical about your skills, just google ‘acrylic manicure las vegas’ and visit Perfect Nails.
